FRED HOLLOW'S GRAVE AND MEMORIAL
Fred Hollows, a New Zealand-born ophthalmologist who devoted his life to improving the vision of thousands, especially among Aboriginal people, was buried according to his wishes under a Coolibah tree in Bourke, where a small memorial honours his legacy and ongoing impact through the Fred Hollows Foundation.
